Do all rental properties need to comply?
Yes. The Healthy Homes Standards apply to private rental properties in New Zealand, and landlords must be able to show compliance. Check Tenancy Services for the current rules and any exemptions that may apply to your property.
Does the report include the heating assessment?
Yes. We calculate the heating requirement for the main living room and assess whether the existing heating meets it.
Will you fix anything that doesn't comply?
No — and that’s deliberate. We stay independent of remediation work. The report clearly identifies what needs attention so you can get quotes from the providers you choose.
